History

ELECTRIC is a premium sunglass, snow goggle, and accessories company that has been rocking since 2000. ELECTRIC is defined by its iconic volt logo and has deep roots in action sports, music and fashion. Surf legends Luke Egan, Matt Hoy, Dave Rastovich, and Ozzie Wright have been ELECTRIC since day one, as have snow legends Peter Line and Axel Pauporte. Bam Margera made ELECTRIC a household name on MTV and NASCAR’s youngest superstar Kyle ‘Rowdy’ Busch is making history wearing ELECTRIC in victory lane. Over the last decade ELECTRIC has produced some of the most unique and innovative designs in the sunglass market. ELECTRIC’s high voltage sunglass styles are team inspired and reflect the attitude and personalities of today’s youth culture. ELECTRIC snow goggles are world renowned for their high level of quality and their performance on the snow. The snow team is lead by snowboard X-games Gold medalists; Andreas Wiig, Jaime Anderson, and freestyle skier Tanner Rainville. ELECTRIC continues to innovate as a global leader in eyewear.

Technical Features

UV Protection

UV rays can be extremely harmful to your eyes. These damaging
rays can accelerate your eyes aging process and these negative
affects can be enhanced by surfaces like water and snow. In
addition to providing exceptional optical clarity all Electric’s
lenses block 100% of these damaging UV rays so that your eyes
can rest easy.

Lens / Frame – Curvature

The term base refers to the curvature of a lens or frame. The higher the base number, the more curvature or wrap of a frame/lens. The term toric refers to different horizontal and vertical base curves. This type of base curvature provides a more custom look and an improved wrap.

The most impact and scratch resistant lens material available today. It can be produced much thinner and lighter than cr39 or glass. Electric’s injected poly carbonate lenses block 100% of
the suns damaging uv rays, uva, uvb and uvc. Polycarbonate lenses are extremely lightweight, provide high impact resistance, and have excellent optical clarity.

Frames

G R I L A M I D ®

Grilamid® is a nylon compound that when heated and mold injected becomes the lightest, strongest plastic material available. Once grilamid® is formed it has the amazing attribute of
being extremely flexible, but is able to maintain its original shape under all temperatures.

Acetate Color Series

Instead of the frames being painted like 99 percent of sunglasses produced, with acetate what you see is what you get, a deep, saturating color through and through-in short the frame is the
color. This amounts to rich colored shades that are one of a kind; just like Friday night vomit will never match the unique tint of Saturday’s.

Polarized

Electric’s Polycarbonate Polarized lens combines the high performance material polycarbonate, with the glare reducing features of an optical polarized filter. Electric’s injected PC polar lens achieves 99% efficiency in blocking polarized light waves. The polarized filter blocks light that can reflect off flat surfaces like water, snow, or asphalt. These PC polarized lenses block
100% of the suns damaging UV rays, and provide exceptional glare reduction while maintaining excellent optical clarity.

Glass Polarized

Electric’s Glass Polarized lenses offer the superior optical clarity of glass while achieving a 99.9% efficiency in blocking polarized light waves. The glass lens filter blocks light that can reflect off
flat surfaces like water, snow or asphalt. Electric’s glass lenses are manufactured in Italy with patented technology. At 2mm our tempered glass polarized lenses are half the thickness and half
the weight of traditional glass polarized lenses.

Sizing Category

Category sizes are measured from the widest point on the vertical axis of the sunglass frame.
