As the main material, Arai adopted a new material known as super fiber, which exhibits 40% more tensile strength and compression strength than ordinary glass fiber. The interior material, which is combined as a composite material, was also upgraded to a material that exhibits high level adhesiveness with the new super fiber to further increase strength.
The form of the shield was updated to improve safety performance, and a custom “Super AdSis I Shield” was adopted that provides a wider peripheral field of view due to the 5mm expansion on both the right and left sides. A rib was installed at the top of the shield to minimize the step between the shield and the shell and reduce wind noise and air turbulence.
